Key Issue for 2023: Medicare and Medicaid funding under attack
Addressing the Key Issue: We will include this in our Gettysburg Times Op-Eds, directly and indirectly. Our May Op-Ed by Dr. Dwight Michael will address it and why this matters. For 2023 we plan to continue providing Op-Eds every other month, alternating with the Steering Committee and Government Accountability Task Force. Our Task Force also would like to provide a May speaker(s) on the topic for the DFA Meet-Up. This year we are thinking of other options for trying to publish letters to the editor and responses outside of Adams County (in our PA District 13, for example) and other local news outlets like the Gettysburg Connection. The insidious privatization of Medicare is bad for all of us.
Our ongoing role is to provide updates on state and national healthcare issues to Adams County residents in a way that is helpful and understandable.
