The Human Element focuses on the work of Jame Balog, a longtime photographer for National Geographic who has documented the impact of climate change on Americans across the country: fisherman in the Chesapeake Bay whose island home is disappearing under rising water, firefighters in the west, coal miners in the east, and children in many places suffering from chronic asthma. The showing of the film will also be the occasion of a reboot of Green Gettysburg, a local effort to support the work of existing environmental organizations in the community and to help them better connect with one another.
