Our annual picnic will be held Wednesday, July 11 at 5:30 PM at the pavilion between the Lutheran Seminary and the YWCA in Gettysburg. Please come and bring your friends!
We ask that you park in the museum parking lot at the Seminary (not at the Y lot, which is often crowded at this time of day). Enter across from the Seminary Chapel and proceed to the “bottom” of the lot which offers a row of lovely parking spaces right beside the pavilion.
Here’s what you need to bring:
· A drinking cup, silverware, and plate or bowl
· Portable chairs (there are seven picnic tables for those who forget)
· A reusable, easily wipe-able table cloth (if you have one handy)
· A beverage of your choice (but we will also have iced tea and lemonade)
· A dish to share (we will have a place to plug in crock pots!)
Although this is primarily a social time, a chance to get together and simply visit with old friends, we will have brief remarks from at least two candidates for the state legislature, Marty Qually and Matt Nelson, and from Jenny Dumont from Gettysburg Rising and myself (for DFA) about plans for the fall.
Please come and bring your friends and help us celebrate Gettysburg DFA’s thirteenth year of education and advocacy in the community!
