ACDC and Gettysburg DFA will host candidate training sessions

The Adams County Democratic Committee and Gettysburg Area Democracy for America will host a series of four sessions designed to help candidates who are running for public office in Adams County.

At each of the four sessions, a panel of speakers will help prospective candidates learn about the procedures and requirements of running for office. There will be time for questions and answers.

SESSION 1: CAMPAIGN OVERVIEW AND TOOLS. Feb. 3, 6:00-8:00 p.m. • Local Tools and the Election Process • Treasurer’s Report • Local candidate experience panel

SESSION 2: MESSAGING THE PRESS, AND SOCIAL MEDIA. Feb. 17 , 6:00-8:00 p.m. • Messaging • Working with the Press • Social Media

SESSION 3: FUNDRAISING. March 10, 6:00-8:00 p.m. • Fundraising 101 • Events and House Parties

SESSION 4: CANVASSING, VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT, CAMPAIGN COORDINATION. March 24, 6:00-8:00 p.m. • Canvassing • Volunteer Management • Campaign Coordination and wrap up

All sessions will be held at the Adams County Democratic Committee office, 24 Chambersburg St., Gettysburg. A donation of $20 is suggested.
