LTE: Qually supporter

Editor, Gettysburg Times,

I’m going to vote for Marty Qually for District 91 State Representative, but it’s only indirectly because of Marty. It’s because of the people I know around here who support Marty and what I see them doing for our community.

They build houses for Habitat for Humanity.

They enjoy local voluntourism by gleaning fruits and vegetables for SCCAP.

They HABPily ride their bikes on the streets of Gettysburg.

And so much more!

These people know they can rely on Marty to help them accomplish things that help make ours a better community. Sometimes it’s by connecting people and resources, sometimes it’s by dismantling unnecessary bureaucratic obstacles. Whatever it takes to “git ‘er done.”

These people know Marty will find the time to talk to them—if they don’t run into each other first at the farmer’s market and take care of it there.

So thanks for all you do, Marty, and I am going to vote for you, but it’s mostly because of the people I run into every time I do some kind of community service, many of whom are people who vote for you. But really, I feel at home with anybody who does community service, no matter their politics (I may not want to hear them talk about it, but I don’t talk about my politics, either, when I’m volunteering). Let’s just “git ‘er done,” knowing Marty will help if we need him to.
