Why now? Pennsylvania faces staggering healthcare threats: in 2029 alone, federal cuts could slash Medicaid and SNAP funding by over $5.3 billion, wipe out 50,900 jobs, and drain $477 million from state tax revenues—while leaving countless families without vital care. Expanded Affordable Care Act tax credits that keep coverage affordable for millions are set to expire in this year, which would mean 4.8 million more uninsured Americans and skyrocketing premiums. And right here in PA-13, pediatric services have already disappeared from local hospitals, maternity care deserts are growing, and Rep. Joyce’s votes have jeopardized Medicaid and Medicare for thousands of district residents.
